Hi my name is Ethel! I’m a research assistant for this group while I’m finishing my master’s degree in Technical Medicine. I like to improve healthcare with the use of technology, in the broadest sense of the word. Whether this is with AI or new ways of imaging, I’m up to it! After work, I’m a very active person; I like to do all kinds of watersports, like kitesurfing and sailing, and during the winter I love to ski, either by myself, with friends of while teaching others. For years I’ve played field hockey on the highest level in The Netherlands, but now I took a step back to focus on my career and have some more time to travel! Working as a research assistant gives me the opportunity to contribute to research and develop myself while seeing the world and working remotely.
