Bram van der Eerden
I am Associate Professor of Calcium and Bone Metabolism at Erasmus MC, where I lead the Laboratory for Calcium and Bone Metabolism. My research focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying skeletal disorders and disturbances in calcium and phosphate homeostasis. By combining human cell models, animal studies and population-based research, I aim to identify new diagnostic approaches and therapeutic targets for bone and mineral disorders.

I am actively involved in national and international bone research networks, including the International Bone Marrow Adiposity Society (BMAS) and the European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS). I have also served as Treasurer of the Dutch Society for Calcium and Bone Metabolism (NVCB) and as a Scientific Advisory Board member of the Dutch FOP Society.
