Translational Genomics of the Skeleton Team
The mission of our group is translating genomic discoveries into tangible clinical applications for individuals at risk of developing musculoskeletal conditions and other complex diseases. We aim at leveraging cutting-edge genomic research seeking early diagnosis, effective treatments, and preventative strategies. Our focus on precision/personalized medicine strives at tailoring interventions to the unique genetic profiles of patients; ultimately, improving health outcomes and enhancing their quality of life.
We are embedded in the “Genomics Medicine” research cross-connection of the department of Internal Medicine aiming at: initiating, stimulating and supporting the integration of cutting-edge genomic technology and research methodology into fundamental, translational and clinical applications within the department, Erasmus MC and beyond.
