We are pleased to announce that Dr. Carolina Medina-Gomez has received the prestigious Iain T. Boyle Award. The award will be handed over at the ECTS 2025 Congress.

This award recognizes outstanding young scientists who have made significant contributions to the field of bone and calcified tissue research. Dr. Medina-Gomez was honored for her groundbreaking work in genetic epidemiology, elucidating the genetic underpinnings of bone health and fracture risk in children and adults.

Her research has delivered key insights through her participation in global collaborations  and GWAS consortia and more recebtly investigating the role of the human microbiome in bone biology.
