We’re proud to see the new EOS Edge scanner at Erasmus MC featured in a segment by TV Rijnmond and rtvrijnmond.nl. The report highlights how this advanced imaging system is contributing to innovation in medical diagnostics and population health research.

In the broadcast, our colleague Professor Fernando Rivadeneira offers a clear explanation of how the scanner works and why it’s such a valuable addition to our research infrastructure. The EOS Edge enables full-body 2D and 3D imaging with extremely low radiation exposure, making it particularly well-suited for large-scale studies and follow-up imaging where patient safety is crucial.

What sets the EOS Edge apart is not only its precision and speed, but also its ability to capture detailed skeletal and soft tissue data in a standing, weight-bearing position. This adds significant value in fields such as orthopedics, musculoskeletal research, and epidemiology.

With only a few EOS Edge systems available in the Netherlands, we’re pleased to be among the institutions leading the way in deploying this technology for both research and clinical care.
